Watch D.O.G.S. at Rusk Intermediate — Our Dad-tastic Superhero Squad!

At Rusk Intermediate, the Watch D.O.G.S. program isn’t just about dads hanging out at school — it’s about bringing real-life superheroes onto campus! (No capes required, but definitely appreciated.) Watch D.O.G.S. stands for Dads Of Great Students, and these amazing men—whether dads, grandpas, uncles, or father figures—step in to support, protect, and inspire our Eagles.

What do they do? Glad you asked:

  • Walk the halls with eagle eyes (keeping mischief in check but with a smile)
  • Help out at events — from lunch duty to field trips — basically, they’re the cool grown-ups everyone wants around
  • Be positive role models who show kids what it means to be involved and caring
  • Occasionally get caught trying to be “hip” with the latest slang (it’s adorable, really)

But beyond all the fun and high-fives, Watch D.O.G.S. make a huge difference. They build strong connections with students, boost school safety, and remind every kiddo that the grown-ups in their lives have got their backs—literally and figuratively.

So here’s to the Watch D.O.G.S. of Rusk Intermediate — thank you for being our everyday heroes, our lunchroom legends, and the dads who rock our school!
