Veterans Day

At Rusk Intermediate, we believe in honoring the heroes among us — the veterans who have served our country with courage, strength, and sacrifice. Every year, we proudly find meaningful ways to recognize and celebrate our local veterans and teach our students the importance of service, gratitude, and community.

Whether we’re:

• Inviting veterans on campus for a special ceremony or recognition
• Interviewing students about the veterans in their lives
•  Creating class projects, writing thank-you letters, or hosting special presentations
• And especially honoring veterans during our heartfelt Fall Concert — where music and gratitude come together in a powerful tribute

…we make sure our students understand that freedom isn’t free — and that we are surrounded by brave individuals who have made incredible sacrifices.

It’s a powerful reminder that respect, patriotism, and gratitude are values we carry not just during Veterans Day, but all year long.
