Rock Your School Rocktoberfest
ROCKTOBERFEST at Rusk Intermediate School!
Hold onto your wigs and guitar picks — ROCKTOBERFEST is the most epic after-hours event of the year at Rusk Intermediate!
Hosted during Rock Your School Month, this rockin’ fall bash is all about family fun, staff hangouts, and learning wrapped up in costumes, candy, and just the right amount of chaos. It’s the one time a year when you might see your principal in a cape, your teacher dressed like Elvis, and your best friend dressed like a taco... all in the same place.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Costumes Galore – Come as you are, dress like a rockstar, or wear your spookiest, silliest, or sparkliest Halloween costume. Anything goes ...except boring. Boring stays home.
- Literacy That ROCKS – We keep the reading spirit alive with our legendary Book Fair. Yes, there are books. Yes, there are posters. Yes, someone will try to convince their grown-up to buy a llama eraser. It’s tradition.
- Trunk-or-Treat Games – Candy meets cleverness! Teachers decorate car trunks with wild themes and host fun, learning-based games for kids. It's trick-or-treating with a side of brainpower. Win-win.
- Dancing, Games, and More – Get your groove on, challenge your teachers to a dance-off (they will say yes), and play games until you forget it’s a school night.
- Food Trucks – Because no great school event is complete without something fried, cheesy, or sweet served from a truck.
But the real magic of Rocktoberfest? It’s the chance to build connections, families, students, and staff all hanging out together, not worrying about homework, just enjoying the Eagle spirit (and maybe a little candy).
So come ready to rock, read, and maybe boogie in your costume.
It’s Rocktoberfest, and at Rusk Intermediate, we don’t just throw a party... we throw a rockstar-level, book-loving, candy-filled celebration of learning and fun!
Rocktoberfest!
