Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week at RIS — Healthy Choices, Big Laughs, and Even Bigger Hair Days!
At Rusk Intermediate, we go all out for Red Ribbon Week because making healthy, drug-free choices should be celebrated, talked about, and dressed up in the wackiest outfits possible.
Each year, our campus is buzzing with excitement as we take part in this national campaign to promote drug prevention and positive decision-making. We’re talking:
- Themed dress-up days (hello, mismatched socks and wild hair!)
- Interactive lessons that stick
- Honest and important conversations
- A whole lot of encouragement and Eagle pride
One day you might see a student dressed like a superhero, the next day they’re in pajamas, and somehow, it all ties back to choosing a safe, healthy, drug-free life. It’s fun with a purpose and it makes a difference.
Red Ribbon Week isn’t just about saying “no.” It’s about saying YES to your goals, your health, your future, and your friends who are cheering you on.
At RIS, we take drug prevention seriously but we also believe that learning about it can be engaging, uplifting, and maybe even a little silly. Because when students feel supported and informed, they make stronger choices and soar even higher.
So throw on those crazy socks, flash that confident smile, and join us in celebrating a life full of good choices and bright futures!
